AIM BOT SmarterChild Doesn't recognize Unicycling is a Hobby

Any way I was Online and was bored so I decided to add a AIM Bot to my buddy list, I added SmarterChild. It’s not so smart after all here’s what itsaid to me

So I decided to post and show you that AOL doesn’t think Unicycling is a hobby. anyway post your oppinion and what-not bye.

It recognizes that unicycling isn’t merely a hobby.

I’m sorry your free, sponsor-driven robot doesn’t recognize the word “unicycling.” But why do you need a sponsor-driven robot when you have us?

Unicycling probably falls under the category of religion–at least for most of the people I know.

The “AI” (and I use that term loosely in this case) for those sorts of bots tend to be notoriously poor. It’s not so much that “AOL doesn’t recognize unicycling as a hobby” as much as “the database the bot is checking is not well kept or simply incomplete”.

I’m sure there’s TONS of things you can think of that it won’t know anything about, and then there’ll be really random things that it will know about just because someone entered it.

Plus, after all is said-and-done, it’s just a means to drive you to links to generate more money for AOL through referals to other sites. AOL “tries” to add some value to it, but it’s in effect “free money” for them, so they’ll never bust their butt like Google Ads does, since the volume is likely very low for that bot.

Yup, that’s what I meant by sponsor-driven robot. Its main job is to drive you to its sponsors!

It probably doesn’t recognize extreme wheelbarrow-ing either

I just tried it, if you say unicycling it doesn’t work but if you say riding a unicycle then it does.

Hmm, I was talking to it and one of the sponcored ads was to get a free unicycle and I clicked on it and its a torker dx trials.
