AI Unicycle drawing challenge

Riding a kangaroo muni style …he‘s got some serious skills to brag about.

I saw at least one video of someone riding like this.

come on he is just about the take one of his feet off the pedal before riding one-footed. I see the imaginary pedals just fine. The picture was taken at exactly the right moment of having both feet at the same height. Totally realistic. :stuck_out_tongue:

AI keeps developing, I thought I might log in to Google and try their Gemini-text-to-image facility. I was hoping to get an accurate image (especially “feet on pedals” which previously has appeared to be difficult to achieve). I used the following prompt, which to be truthful I thought might contain a bit too much “technical” unicycle wording, but it seemed to work!

PROMPT: “A 40 year old man is riding a unicycle on a lonely trail. The unicycle is a “muni” type (suitable for riding on irregular surfaces) and has black pedals attached to black aluminum cranks of 150mm length. The man is wearing brown boots and has shorts and a long-sleeved shirt and has a yellow helmet. He is riding bravely though an area with low flames from burning material on the trail near the wheel.”

A friend of mine created this image of my unicycling alter-ego.

Although my previous Gemini prompt gave a great result (unicyclist riding near flames), I just tried another (short) prompt which gave a rather ridiculous/funny result (although not as ridiculous an image as I got a long way back in this thread from the same prompt with a different AI model!).

PROMPT: “Black and white engineering drawing of a unicycle designed for long distance riding by highly skilled unicycle riders.“

How did it manage to mislabel every single part? :joy:

Also, the left crank is fused to the frame. You must be a highly skilled unicyclist indeed.

That thing on the rear of the saddle must be a hemorrhoid suppressor.

The thingy-that-attaches-to-the-seat-post-clamp-and-has-a-cable-that-attaches-to-another-thingy-on-the-side-of-the-frame is absolutely essential in any long distance unicycle. I’m impressed the A.I. remembered to include it! :exploding_head:

Interesting idea on light placement… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Ah yes- the 140mm cranks on a 20" is perfect for a long distance uni.
Also the flashlight! Because who needs to sit, when you have a giant flashlight sticking up into the seat!

One thing to remember, is that particular unicycle is the “Elite Rider Edition”. The fused crank, and that drawer-pull-style handle on the back of the saddle make me realize that I have a ways to go before I can consider myself elite.

. Another nice touch is the Lamp - particularly its placement.
The other pic is quite good, though, except for the guy leaning way back, as if he was breaking.

Bunny hopping isn’t that hard, to be honest.

It can make a nice game for kids to cut out and place the names in the right location

What does ChatGPT think we are?! :sob:

Gemini too!

We knew we were clowns. Now we know we‘re creepy clowns.

Apparently in need of a hub replacement as the square tapered hub got twisted and the cranks are no longer parallel (you should tell ChatGPT to favor splined or ISIS hubs :innocent:)

Nah, it just looks creepier when we ride like that.

Another Kangaroo style unicyclist is outing himself to prefer 0° parallel cranks. And I thought something like 180° is commonly used

Gemini made this. It looks like some sort of Pixar trailer

Huh. So the unicyclist became an old bearded man in the middle of a pond in the end. Storline is a little weird
