I think it is fun that the movie co. is sort of “spoofing” the web in
general with fake sites and fake people that are involved with the
issue of “AI”.
As if there were people really concerned with the “issue”.

?? There are, Mike.
It’s a big topic right now in my Future Trends class, and we’ve found tons
of literature on the subject. We’ve been reading books by futurists…
there’s all kinds of people concerned.

Chuckle. There are spoof sites being set up by the movie
co…that are supposed to be real sites by real people that are worried
about the “rights” of AI machines or some such … and other spoof
sites that are supposed to be people that are “against” the rights of
“AI machines”…
Also spoof sites set up about the supposed “therapist” of “AI machines”…

Are you suggesting that there is something past that?

Well obviously those are spoofs since there are no real AI machines like
that today, except for the few still in development such as Cog & Kismet:

Well, besides the reality of AI, no. The philosophical issues of AI, such
as robotic rights etc., are being discussed today but of course no one has
made any decisions on it, since as yet the point is moot.

I just started in a German law newsgroup discussion about the
dicrimination of the Homo Multi Mind against the Homo Sapiens.
