Less chance of someone locking their bike to yours…
GRRR!!! Now I suppose I have to wait until they shift it before I can bike anywhere.
This is twice in three days it’s happened… my muni ride on Sunday was nearly felled at the first hurdle this way, but luckily I knew the owner of the other bike and they shifted it.
I am seriously considering investing in some bolt cutters…

Just lock your bike to theirs and leave a note saying “Please do not lock your bike to mine, if you want it unlocked, I’ll probably be here about 6pm this evening. If you don’t want this to happen again, then stop locking your bike to other people’s bikes.”
Or just buy a really cheap lock and lock their bike to something else and leave it locked for a few days.
If it’s on campus, talk to the security and they’ll quite likely have something for undoing locked up bikes. Leave the other person’s bike unlocked there.
