[ACQUIRED]: Mongoose Squid Unicycle/Frame

Minnesota, United States

Looking for a Mongoose Squid unicycle, example below

It could be the whole unicycle or just the frame :slightly_smiling_face: I’ve been keeping an eye out for one of these for a while now. There was one listed a while back that I was hesitant on buying due to the distance needed to pick it up, but I’ve been kicking myself for not getting it since then! I plan on building a stronger wheel for it and making it into a little cruiser uni. Just throwing out feelers.

Giving this a bump as it’s been a few months

Since the last post I’ve gotten very close to picking one up in person… But when I got there I was told it got stolen out of their yard just moments before  The guy gave off weird vibes though, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if he “acquired” it the same way, looking at it in hindsight

Other than that though the search is ongoing :face_with_monocle:

That looks like the most leg/knee-unfriendly uni frame design I’ve ever seen. Would you be interested in a Coker “squid” frame? From when they re-introduced their 36" unis around 2010 or so. Black frame, been sitting in a cabinet not getting wear & tear on it… Located in Northern California.

I might be, would you be willing to send a picture of it?

I’d love to build up a Coker V2 36er at some point, unfortunately though it might sit in my own cabinet for a while before I do so if I do take up that offer :face_with_crossed_out_eyes: Mostly due to the need to build a 36er wheel, which for parts is a bit out of my budget for now.

Unfortunately, there might not be many in the wild (compared to the unnamed beginner unis found everywhere). It is a cotterless hub and frame so no ISIS or Qaxle.

I wonder if it wouldn’t be faster to ask @jaco_flans if it is a shape he can build :innocent:

I managed to get my hands on one locally!! For a good price, too. Only downside was the drive itself, mostly due to heavy traffic.

Will write soon in Post a picture of your unicycle(s) once I have the chance to take some good pictures.
