Re: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
Once again, I have no idea what this post is about. But it does seem to make more sense than this.

LOL, true, but trust Phil and Jagur to start something like that!
Crazy. I guess thats all of the stress of your work you handed in Phil!?
Joe,
i have no clue as to posting that thread last night.i think i was talking to myself at that point.i had had quite a few.
That post stemmed from the fact that I’ve just finished my 3rd year degree project that has been ongoing since October, and has taken a vast proportion of my time over the last few weeks or so. I’ve been out on my trials uni twice in the last ten weeks, it’s that bad…
Tomorrow morning I shall stroll into the department and hand over my folder containing 112 pages and 2 floppy disks. Then I shall stroll out and go to the pub.
It’s weird. Right now… I feel like I should be writing something and thinking lots…

intersting concept, i usually punch a wall or scream into a pillow when i’m frustrated. Since were complaining about education my mechanics teacher came up with a cool invention, where you turn a handle, and if the machine isn’t set up right, you get 40,000 volts. Now, that only pricks the finger, but i tried it after school, turned it of, and showed someone else how it works, by holding the wire AND the handle. Nothing like getting hit by lightning to wake you up!
I was hit by 300 V from a capacitor tester when in high school. I grabbed the leads wrong. It knocked me off my chair!
Gotta try that again and see if it’ll do the same thing now.
Remarkable. Why do I have the impression you were on the forums ALL the time?

Phil has made 896 posts since October 1, 2002. Busy, busy, busy!
Displaying Topics 876 to 900 of 1182 . . . . . . . Pages (48): « First … « 34 35 [36] 37 38 » … Last »
It took lots of clicking, but I checked. (the last four on page 36 were from September, so that makes 896…)
I should have known what the Aaaaahhhh (sp?) was for. But I thought it wasn’t going to happen until high noon tomorrow.

Because there are few things more tedious than prood reading 18,000 words for the goodness-knows-how-many-th time!
Write paragraph - get bored - half an hour break - write another paragraph - get bored…
But now, it is gone. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, being able to do nothing without feeling guilty is so nice!

one of the benefits of my chosen career is the opportunity to scream out frustrations in the comfort of an airconditioned, soundproof studio
or recording it in the production studio and running it thru a flanger and scaring the cleaning staff
i also enjoy screaming in the car, esp while driving on the highway
i stopped punching walls when i left the restaurant trade
and not a fracture to soon!
My point exactly. “Proof Reading”…
Phil
That’s SO funny! Ironic! Self-referential! I didn’t notice it, otherwise I would have taken the time to make fun of your spelling.
Well, today was the day, I guess! It’s been 19 presumably waking hours since your last post. That has to be some kind of personal record. Hope you got in some riding today. You won’t forget about us, now that you are not chained to a keyboard all day long, right?
Congratulations! Enjoy your freedom!

It is rather worrying, in many ways. I only spotted that mistake a few minutes ago. Right now it is 3:55am and I am very ,very drunk. I cannot tell you how long it is taking to type this post while trying to keep it coherent. Because of this I am typing with as much concentration as I can muster to ensure I don’t look again in the morning and think “what on earth was I thinking?!”. So… what errors would I find in my project if I read it through now? That’s too scary a thought to even contemplate.
I have not drunk this much… well, ever…
The problem being that if I go to bed right now, I shall wake up with a swine of a hangover, and I intend to make the most of my last day in York for a while (going home for Easter break at the weekend) by unicycling a lot, so that’d be A Bad Thing.
We have been in the pub since 11:30am. The world is spinning. RSU is the only thing currently keeping me from giving in to hangover-inducing sleep…
Excuse me while I revert to a state of staring blankly at the walls for the next half an hour before going to bed…
Phil
Well, not just the pub. One pub, then another, then another, then another, then a local cheesy nightclub. But either way, I really should give up and go to sleep. But there’s a damn bird singing outside my window! At 4:08am!!! What the?!?!?
Dave… thanks. These forums are great, and you are an integral part of their greatness. The same to everyone else. Even if it takes drunkenness and silly times in the morning to make me express it, I would be slightly less sane if it weren’t for these forums. And that’s saying something.
I am sobering up slightly now. I also need the loo. Then I am gong to bed. Goodnight all!
Phil
Phil, you are amazing. I pasted the text of your 3:55 AM post into Word and did a spell-check and grammar check. The only thing it complained about was “very ,very” (the space is before the comma, not after). And it didn’t like your use of “?!”, which seems okay in an informal setting.
Astonishing! Such coherence!
For contrast, let’s take a look at a recent post by jagur, made under similar circumstances (sorry, jagur)…
(I just read your most recent post. Thanks for the compliment, but I only accept SOBER compliments…)

Which is a good sign. Hangerovers leading from dehydration, and all. I have drunk lots of Robinson’s Summer Fruits squash stuff since getting home. I may not sleep due to frequent loo trips, but I will not (hopefully) have a hangover.
I have also just noticed I have a friend’s bag in here; she droppped it off before we went to the pub. It goes to the highest bidder, assuming you bid before 4:15pm tomorrow when I next see her.
I’ve no idea what’s in it, but it’s probably not very interesting.
Do I hear a fiver?
Marvelllous…
Phil
Fear ye not, I shall read through this lot tomorrow morning and probably post an apology for it all. I’m not looking forward to what Ishall see, but your Word jiggerypokery sounds like a good sign. Anyway, my typing appears to be getting worse, and I really need the loo now, so I am signing off for the night. Au revoir, all!
