It is incumbent on each of us to educate ourselves, and it is excellent to see you post this kind of information (links). Republic = Rule by Law
Constitution = Highest Law of the Land
God’s Law = Highest Law
Thanks for bumping this thread. I’m going to watch the videos this time – something I didn’t do the first time around. I don’t know who the speaker is, but if he’s endorsed by Gilby, then that’s good enough for me. 
However, I’m reluctant to publicly express too much interest in the Constitution for fear of fitting the profile of… let’s just say, the T word. We live in troubling times.
well anybody can twist semantics… this is a constitutional right…
but many people can think that this is a subliminal message to : “republicans” = good, “democrats” = bad (which may be thought as partisanship not education)

, “democratic republic” will really fit what you have in mind …
Politicians always destroy terminology, and the way these two terms are used today by political parties, I would say they are both bad.
The term democracy is not in the constitution, the term republic is:
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government”
It is that definition of republic that I was referring to. Plato’s Republic.

I have been called many things because I am vocal (without being overbearing or obnoxious), but I am pretty comfortable letting people know that I am more than interested in the Constitution. Indeed, I frequently find opportunity to compare recent events and governmental decisions and actions against the Constitution. It does seem to make some people pretty uncomfortable.
God gave me the rights, it’s up to me to keep up my end of the liberty bargain!
It is true that we live in troubled and troubling times. I wonder how much more so than so many other times in world history? Not to downplay the current troubles, rather to put them in perspective.
