66 Toyata Land cruiser fj40

Anyone know anything about them good/ bad. weekness, stranghts. Any one here have an old FJ. Help plz.

I would advise caution because it’s going to be 41 years old. Great as Toyotas are these days, that wasn’t always the case!

I’m sure that was really useful.

land cruiser seems to be the vehicle of choice in australia and the middle east…must be something about them

Is the one on the right what you’re looking for? (My '07 FJ is on the left.) If it runs ok, that body’s ok, the interior is ok, I’d buy it. Toyota’s run forever.

I had a 1971 FJ40 Landcruiser that I drove for years. I wish I still had it and still kicking myself for impulsively selling it. It was built like a tank and the low geared 3 speed would climb hills that left others behind. The cool thing was I took the top off in summer and had a soft “bikini” top and 1/2 doors.
There are sources for all parts, so easy to restore.

this would be it for $5,000. Just don’t know how much extra will have to be spent in restoration. Dose not need smoged. lol
