I actually rank schwinn’s pretty low too.

Inverted bicycles

homemade unis
Savages
Savage clones (all with different names, but essentially the same thing)

Some of the older unicyclists could give you a list of crappy types that haven’t been manufactured for years now because they were so bad.

Surely the uni’s with no names have gotta be the worst…
Aaron

well the trials is called frank and the muni’s more of a bob does that make them good?
Errrr i think anything non splined is becoming a little dated really i mean not distance uni’s but for muni and trials.
Any thing with lollypop bearings are totally crap apart from pashleys!they seem to be the only ones that last!
Ben

i agree with Ben!

those stupid little lolipop bearings took me ages to get off my unicycle when i replaced the frame and bearings with a lovley shiny nimbus frame and DECENT bearings!

DOWN WITH LOLIPOP BEARINGS!

HELLO…

The Savage is a Cadillac compared to the lowly Troxel. Haven’t you guys ever seen one of those?

I don’t know if unicycles like this are still out there, but I bet they are. You Savage riders have nothing to complain about. However, I think the white plastic seat on my old Troxel will do less damage to your legs than a dented-up Savage seat!

Seems like a lot on that unicycling.org page would qualify. But I’m sure any Wal-Mart unicycles would qualify also, and most of us wouldn’t be familiar with those. I hope.

Nope, the Troxel is far-and-away the ickiest one of the lot (on this page: http://www.unicycling.org/unicycling/Unidb/qdesc/models.html). The Savage is not even close, and all the others are much better pieces of hardware.

I haven’t seen what they have at Wal-Mart these days. It could be today’s version of the Troxel. Sears, Montgomery Ward, and other big chains offered the Troxel and similar in the 70s and 80s. If you look at Troxel’s product line, you’ll see why their unicycles are so inferior to the ones sold by bicycle companies.

So a Wal-Mart unicycle is probably made by a third-party company, though it may not be labeled on the product.

If you really want one, John, look on ebay. One pops up every once in a while. And people buy them.:frowning:

I have seen some unicycles with 2 wheels i think they must be crap!probli some kind of training system
Is it a Troxel they wreck in universe the saddle looks the same. And dm’s rock they are on unicycling.org they are great unicycles handmade to order ect ect and just up the road from me well like an hour away
Ben

I don;t know the uni i have is a crap one that i have had for 8 years but no matter what i do i can;t break it! I really really want to and i have been doing stupid drops and stuff in the hope becasue my dad said he will buy me a new one after this one breaks. breaking it is the hard part!!! any suggestions :stuck_out_tongue:

lot’s of pinic table drops with out a role out. go out 4 a “ride” get the “pump” from the garage.in other words go out take a mean ass hammer and take it away from the house and have some fun dent the wheel as much as u can but make it look like it’s ride damage not hammer damage good idea hey?!?!!?
