Because the United States of America is unarguably the best nation on earth, and because whether or not they’ll admit it, the citizens of all other countries wish they lived here, I’m wondering how all you in other countries will be celebrating the 4th of July.
I will be celebrating the 4th of July on the airplane.
I will be working from 10 to 6. The beach where I work will be packed.
i think other countries will be burning flags…
I will be spending the day with my cousins. That’ll be fun… No, seriously, it will with my actual close group of cousins, not my distant ones that willl also be there.
Then of course were gonna launch a lot of fire works (woot, ilegal stuff), and end up playing pool til 12am. Gonna bring my cam also.
Well… I’m not other countries.
But on July the 4th I go watch fireworks then go to the res to buy cheap fireworks for fun-times later on…
Do they have a 4th of July in other countries?
If they use the Western calendar…
Please explain…just to make sure you understood the riddle.
Well… Canada has a forth of July, they don’t celebrate their independance day on the forth though.
If we were using a calendar that didn’t have July…
What will you be doing on the forth? I just remembered we’re going to have pudding… mmmm…
Don’t you think it’s time to take back patriotism? I’m tired of it being a dirty word and being representative of right wing america.
While my country often disappoints me, there’s still so much I’m proud of. While others may sometimes (often rightly) mock us, most of the world would still rather be here then whatever impovershed, corrupt, or oppressive nation they’re currently stuck in.
Can’t we take this day to raise the flag for what we believe in without conceding it to those who from across the pond often refered to as “ugly americans”.
I’ll be patriotic if it involves pudding…
The fourth of July should be spent reading the Declaration of Independence so that we can all realize that we live under a government that is very much like the government we declared independence from.
Americans are not free, so it’s sad that we can still claim to be the most free.
They’ll be thanking their lucky stars that their educational system teaches them to read and comprehend a simple paragraph…unlike others.
I’ll be in a car.
Well I live in another country, it’s called the South. And I’ll be working the whole afternoon then going to see a movie with a friend. Yeah, I don’t really celebrate it much.
lol
no way!
i almost had to do that, but i’ve got the day off…my hours are 10:30-6:30
oh, and i’ll definitely be blowing things to smitherines
Girl in a hottub.
Thats what ill be doing.
I will accept patriotism as a good word the day the Patriot Act is revoked…
In South Africa it’s not celebrated in any official way, but it is acknowledged, if in a passing manner.
I’ll definately mention it on my show and wish my american friends well.
In the past I’ve made a point of finding some apple pie, as that is pretty much our enduring image of your independance celebrations.
