32" Maxxis Aspen - is it what 32" unicycles need to become mainstream?

The site says:

Date de livraison: 27-02-2026

I should learn to read French before suggesting websites. Sorry :see_no_evil_monkey:

No idea. I just periodically search the internet for it and occasionally find custom bike companies with a few for sale.

If I see Willow here in the UK get any more then I might be able to sort a bit of European distribution.

Hopefully soon (before February 2026) enough they’ll be available more generally though.

I really hope the Schwalbe 32” tire ends up being 2.25” (or even 2.1”) wide. 2.4” makes sense for big & tall MTB riders, but I would really rather a narrower tire. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:t3:

That video is making me want to try and ride up some stairs, but I fear on a unicycle it would be quite different.

Ha! According to this video (@2:25) it should be possible to mount a 32“ wheel into the Oregon‘s frame. Hmmmm…

Ahh, now that’s quite different to a full set. I can ride up a few steps in row like that no problem on any wheel size.

Sadly no actual confirmation, and the Maxxis Aspen is a little larger than the Nimbus NR

In the vid, the tyres were chosen in a way that the different wheelsizes ended up with identical diameters. So a 26x4.9 was the same size as a 32x(drumroll)2.4 (-> Maxxis Aspen size). If I‘m not mistaken the Oregon was designed to take up to 26x5 tyres.
Of course there are other factors playing into the equation, like rim width and the deviation of the effective dimensions to the nominal dimensions.

EDIT: In the thread you linked there is mention of two measurements: Oregon „inseam“: 15.5“. 32er wheel radius: 16.5“. If these measurements are correct the frame is too small.

One left. I wonder where will be the next place to get stock!

Thought this group would be interested in seeing this. Berd spokes laced onto a 32” Nextie rim. My desire for a 32” uni grows by the day

Ahh yes, when you want your spokes to cost about as much as your rim

I’d love some, but absolutely cannot justify them at that price.

Honestly I really want that kind of setup and the spokes are just barely outside of feasibly making and it makes me so unhappy

Even with longer nipples?

In case you mean spokes for your 45" rim are outside of feasibility, we can get it done somehow.

I meant in pirating their spokes but if I could get some for my 45” that would be awesome because it’s going to be heavy

I had never thought 32er would be the size of the Evil!
