I saw the movie 300 last night, and I gotta say, I was highly impressed. Apparently, it was filmed inside a warehouse, using blue screens for everything, other than the actors, and their personal props (swords, spears…) It looked very raw…you could see the freckles, blemishes, and hairs on people… which to me, made it look more real than most “polished” movies. Also, the effects looked great, and the action was very in yer face.
I think I will see it again in theatres. Check it out.
My friend told me it was awesome. I really want to see it, he also said the fight scenes were amazing.
Looks like another successful transition of Frank Miller’s work from the comic book page to the big screen.
When are they going to do ‘The Dark Knight Returns’?
Im going to see it. I have to see wild hogs too.
Yes, it was very cool. It was incredibly artistic and well put together. I loved the colors.
I thought it was very well made and on par with gladiator, but without familiar actors which, for me, gave it more authentic feel.
Yes, I just saw it last night. It was very cool, and if what you said about the filming process is true, than I have a whole new respect for the actors and directors. Very awesome movie. Go see it now!
“Sin City” used blue screen also so all the backgrounds were added in post production. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/feat/archives/2007/03/09/2003351644
Yeah it was awesome; so intense and amazing. I thought some of the mythological creatures and weird animals took away from the seriousness of the movie (not like Gladiator in that respect), but overall it was a great movie. Also, I know it was released as an IMAX movie at the same time and I think that would be incredible. For those of you who have seen it: imagine it IMAX! Yeah, it was cool. Really violent though…
I want to see it soo badly, I just need someone to go with because its 18a
I t was so awesome everything a good movie should have a damn close. I would say my favorite part was in the kings tent he is ballin’!
2nd time seeing it for me tonight

Yes very good movie, Also, the battle did happen and it was indeed 300 men vs ALOT … it was called the Battle of Thermopylae of course there was no rhynos and stuff… The movie did do a good job showing a traitor to the Spartan, the path used and the spartan war techniques tho. I defenatly recommend the movie to anyone even tho there is kinda gory scences, do your research about the battle and about the Spartans and you will find that the movie was made very well.

That sucks… Im 17 and I saw it.
It figures a bunch of teenage boys (including Terry) would like this movie… ninety minutes of bloody fighting with a few half-naked women thrown in for good measure. The whole movie could’ve been 20 minutes and nothing would’ve been lost on the viewer. I think I saw the best parts of the film when I watched the trailer.
Crappy dialog… unbelievable characters… 300 showed no hallmarks of a good film. It’s just eye candy. I found the movie visually entertaining in a few scenes… I enjoyed the “raw” look of the actors and sets, but I’d have gotten the same enjoyment out of seeing a few movie stills. The action didn’t add much to the scenery.
After leaving the theater I felt like I just watched a 90 minute commercial for a crappy video game. God of War is much better.
That game is awesome. I can’t wait for the second one.
Elephants and rhinoes are mythological?
Anyway I thought it was a great movie, but a great theatre movie. It didn’t have enough story or plot to be good on a small screen. But watching it big was incredible and I think I’ll see it in theatres again.

I just got back…it was awesome!
When they’re 20 stories tall, yes. And the person with blades for arms.
And the 12 foot tall giant thing that Leonidas OWNED.
This movie is amazing.
