I have the red and black Torker DX 24 my tire is purity well wasted. I want to get a 24x3 tire before I run out and buy one I wanted to know if it would fit. Also wanted to see if there was any recommendations on tire?
I had an Intense 24x3" tire on an older Torker DX. I think it was pretty much the same frame as you have. The rim (DX32) was a bit narrow for a 3" tire but it still worked fairly well.
Not sure if Torker are still using the Alex rim.
if it’s red and black, it’s still the old model. that tire should be fine, that alex rim is easily as wide as the nimbus ones.
fyi, the rim on the new ISIS model are still basically the same rim, just w/o the branding
The Duro fits that model of DX 24 A gaz (if you can find one) will not fit due to its excesive height.
Great thank you for the information. Any other recommendations as to which I should buy? Am I gonna see/ feel a huge difference going from 2.5" to 3"?
Yes you will! I’ve changed my 2.6 Gazz on my Muni for a 3.00 Kujo and when I do drops I really feel the difference, the 3.00 is much better. You can ride it with lower pression also because of the higher volume. The 3.00 tire absorbs much better drops and little rocks or anything on the trail. 3.00 Tires Rocks!
Nice! I wish i could run this one a little lower but 30 psi is it.
