28" uni, DM ringmaster or sem XL?

Hi folks,

I was going to buy a sem 28" but the postage to NZ is rather expensive. I’ve
found a 28" DM closer to home and was wondering whether they are any good. I’ve
had no experience with DMs. Can anyone enlighten me?

(The other option is to get one custom built, it might work out cheaper and
easier than importing!) Thanks, Peter

DM s are great, very robust unis. The DM 28 will even take a big fat knobbly 26
inch wheel if you want to have a muni as well using the same frame. I’d have no
hesitations about going for a DM over a sem, especially if it will save you
loads of postage costs.

My DM 28" ringmaster is a lovely machine though when delivered had loose spokes
which I have struggled to get expertly trued. You might like to get them to
ensure they are properly tightened before despatch! Dez Lumb Sarah Miller wrote
