Ok so i am ready to buy a new muni as my current unicycle is breaking and i’m ready to up grade. I’m looking at the nimbus 24" and the nimbus 26" munis. i’m about 6’3" so i’m not a small guy. i will be doing xc riding, single track, and some down hill in the future. I havent been able to really find good info on which would suit me better. and also what crank size? i havent really decided but i might be willing to spend more and get a KH but still dont know what size. any opinions?
Hey I was wondering what the difference was between having a 24" or 26" wheel on a MUni. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each.

I’m planning the upgrade to my 24" Norco (crap-tastic!) and wanted to get some opinions on wheel size.
I’m thinking of the Nimbus 24" Muni with Moment cranks and a KH Freeride seat.
That sits squarely in my budget but given the fact that I don’t live in the woods and would need to get in my car and drive to find any technical trails, maybe I should go to the 26" instead.
Is the 26" Nimbus Muni weaker or somehow limited where the 24 is not? Is there something else I hadn’t considered?

Hi folks,
I’ve only been riding a short while (only just sussed idleing, planning on jumps & backwards next,) I’ve been playing on MTB trails on my 20" Nimbus & can see the advantage of a larger wheel.
In all my web searching, I can’t find any strong arguments to choose between 24 & 26 inchers.
I guess 26" is better cross country & has a greater choice of tyres,
so why is 24" so popular?
Also, as a beginner is the Nimbus MUni a good choice?
thanks,
Laef

26" unicycles are faster, 24" should offer a slight bit better control. The one you choose depends on your ability, what you’d use it for, how far you’d ride with it, and so on.
I usually don’t say use the search bar because that isn’t helpful at all but seriously…
There are at least 5 threads with this exact question.
So I’m at least a little helpful: In addition to what Onions said 26 has more tire choices.
The real question is why aren’t you considering a 29?
