Tomorrow, 10am 6th August (local time), Lisanne Boer (Netherlands) and Ken Looi *that’s me* (New Zealand) will be attempting the 24 Hour Unicycle world record. Lisanne is going for the women’s unlimited record while I’m attempting the 29 Standard record.

There is a Facebook event page where we will put updates/photos and video
That is close, but not exactly correct. I saw that number too on the live stream, but it stems from a random crossing of the chip timing mat after the 24 hours were done. By my calculation, the correct distance is about 464.4 kilometers. Which is still outright amazing!
Note that the authority on both the correct distance and the official recognition of the world record is the IUF, specifically the IUF World Record Committee. I’m pretty sure they haven’t issued an official statement yet.
Of course. Without the partial lap, so only counting 1079 full laps, the distance is 464.29 km. The partial lap, if my calculation is correct, amounts to about 0.11 km extra.
