20 combo?

I’m a student in Aus and don’t have that much cash on hand, I have a nimbus 24 uni which I use for street riding but I reckon I’m in need of a 20 inch wheel.

Anyone think it’d be a good idea to just buy a trials wheelset and put it on my 24 frame to save some money? My friend reckons it would be bad for crank stalls etc but I debate this. I understand It would have huge clearance but would that really matter?

Opinions/advice anyone?
