1st unicyclist on StreetView

This thread claims a unicycle appearence on StreetView, but

  • The picture does not contain any of the Google Street View operating buttons, the Google logo, nor the track indicator
  • The picture is significant much more blurry than the Street View maps.
  • Further the angle seems to me a bit too low for the Camera cars camera mount pole.
  • The poster did not provide a url
  • The poster did not provide a url on request
  • The poster did not respond to my request by PM to provide the URL by PM

However; I just posted a link to my appearance here!

So by these I claim to be the 1st unicyclist on Google’s StreetView unless I’m truly proven else.

Haha, congratulations. I dont know of anyone else.:stuck_out_tongue:

lol that’s awesome.

lol. that so cool

hey jus so ya know in NZ our streetview is really crappy quality so matts one is probably true…but still yours is awesome! my house isnt even on streetview :astonished:

anyways…jus found my mate on it too should have checked sooner!

Cool. But either you were riding backwards or you were on the wrong lane  . Nice tire.

That’s great!

Hahaha congratulations!

And on the wrong side of the road too!

Btw, you are an awesome unicyclist - I think I’ve watched lots of videos of you as I try to learn how to do stuff on a unicycle.

We found THIS (our ex-unicyclist friend) practicing around our roundabout, as soon as streetview came out in NZ, and that was a loong time ago!
So we win I reckon xD

Yeah nz wins i saw that pic ages ago on nz forums

Cool thread!

Cool pics!

Matt? Please show 3 different tilting-levels at the same spot, and maybe I’ll believe.

Uhm, mind you, in NL it’s the law you ought to know the law…!
Before recent changes it was mandatory to pedestrians (and so unicyclists) to walk (or ride) on the left side in case there is no sidewalk.
After recent changes they now are allowed on both sides on the road, up to own discretion. I still prefer to face traffic (the philosophy behind the old law).
But OK, truth, there was a footpath, but I found it too narrow.

Yes, perfect for unicycles: Pr1mo - The Wall, designed by BMX flatlander Day Smith (by then of Matt Hoffman). Produced, stolen and imitated by Cheng-Shing in Taiwan.

That are two nice things that make me happy to hear! Thanks.

Wow! That one is even cooler, because -if you look well- it even includes a mount! Once again shot right at the start of a session.
So OK that overtops, plus the watermarks clearly states 2008, so it must have been shot around 6 to 8 months earlier.
Ah well, being 2nd (or 3th?) worldwide, and 1st and only (?) in Europe is still pretty awesome.

I see, in Arnhem there are many bicycle paths which I usually ride on. And otherwise I ride on the right lane like a bicyclist would do. I consider myself a bicyclist rather than a pedestrian on my 36" and my geared 26er.

I was looking for me and when I saw my house, there was the recycle bin in front of it so it’s monday on the street view… that means I’m at school and I can’t see me:( I saw my brother driving my mother’s car though:p
