Door to door ride last Saturday, first challenge was Independence Pass, topping out on the CD at 12,100’, (3,688 meters). The ride down was sweet, a little headwind which I used as my brake. Last challenge was the Maroon Bells ride, only buses are allowed during day, so traffic was non-existent. Moose cruising about in the lake, deer in the forest, and many pica singing along the way. Weather held all day, and I made it home safely. 6,700’, (2042 meters) of climbing, and same descending. Average riding elevation for the day was about 9,500’, (2896 meters). The flowers are finally peaking in the high country, time to get out and enjoy. Cheers
Looks great… I’m glad you had fun!!! =P
It is amazing how green everything is at Maroon Bells! I only ever got out there in the Autumn, so my view was much different.
You’re pictures always amaze me! Incredible!
