LonelyRiders2006 - New trials vid from Finland!

I’m finnish too but I live in the u.s. Next time I’m in finland I’ll try and get in touch with you.

did those pedals you were using for the barefoot riding have pins in them?

if so, OWW!

Nice vid! Well edited and tight!

How big was that bc wheel? It looked like 16" or smaller.

That would be great. You say you’re Finnish, you mean you were born here in Finland or?

I knew somebody would ask that. No, there were no pins. Yet, it’s anything but comfy to ride barefoot anyway, when there’s nothing between your foot and the pedal. Though I’ve also ridden barefoot with pinned pedals. All I can say it’s painful.

That BC wheel was made out of an old children’s bicycle I think. So I think it could be perhaps 16" or 18". If Aleksi’s gonna read this he’ll probably correct me if I’m wrong.

And thanks for your comments in general so far!

nice vid, some huge roll hops! do you know the height of them?

Thanks, I don’t know if they’re that huge. The biggest one was perhaps the last, haven’t measured, but maybe a little above 85cm.

That´s a good question. As Eero said it is made from an old bike wreck, so I´m not sure but I believe it is 18". It looks quite small on the film, but actually it´s huge.

85 is quite big, even though ive done 86:p but im not into jumping…

good riding. great song!

Nice! Did Aleksi ride a 16" bc? To me it looked harder than riding a 20".

it’s probably harder at high speeds but I would imagine that it would be easier to make quick adjustments to where the wheel is underneath you if the wheel is smaller and lighter.

Well hard to say, cause I haven´t ever tried any other BC.

But the hardest thing with my BC, in my opinion, is that the plates aren´t perfectly in balance. The other plate is almost 1 cm further from the hub than the other, so it doesnt roll straight by itself

My GF is from Finland we used to go twice a year but we got a house now so been spending money on that and didn’t go last year but her family live in Espoo so next time we go I might message you to meet up for a ride, not sure how far Turku is though.

Sounds good to me, it´s always nice to ride with “new” people. And Espoo is about 150 km from Turku, about 2 hours trip with train or car.

Yeah cool, I’ve added you to my buddy list to remind me.

man thats some good riding
and i wish i was there thats a nice indoor trials wow
85cm thats good

Really nice video, did the uni at the end of spiked pedals? That would hurt!

You’re not the first one to ask.
