very uni appropriate IMHO. love to try a bike like that - really just a uni with more stuff, but still has the heart of a uni.

lifted from bikemag forum. really quite an amaszing vid , this typing is rough…

HOLY S#@T! I’m tellin’ you, that is NOT from this earth! That’s IMPOSSIBLE!

It’s basically just flatland biking but on a fixy. It’s impressing but not RSU worthy. considering it has nothing to do with unicycles.

Is that real? I think b*kes have finally done something superior to us. hangs head in shame

It’s from Germany.

It’s called artistic cycling. It’s an organized sport in Japan and China and some of the European countries.

Our standard skills in unicycling are based on the artistic cycling skills and rules.

John Foss can do that

it’s basically just a giraffe unicycle with some bits chucked on it to make it look different.

but she is pretty damn good

that is pretty freaky. ive tried doing that thing where you surf your bike, where you put one foot on the handle bars and one foot on the seat. its not as hard as you tihnk it would be, but most of that stuff is really really really freaky.

That is quite beautiful to watch, thank for posting the link. And the music’s so much better than most of the unicycle videos I’ve seen.

Thanks for posting the video! It is definitely RSU worthy

I knew about artistic bicycling but I’d never seen it been done, and this performance gave me goosebumps

Also, fixed gear bicycles have been around far longer than giraffe unicycles, so no, it is absolutely not just a “giraffe unicycle with some bits chucked on it to make it look different”. That’s an ignorant thing to say

that was very cool. I bet you could wheelie forever!

I wanted to see her idle:(

WOW. I bet she could hop on a uni and compleat a level 6 or 7 test no problem. that is amazing.

That is amazing!

Look’s rather dangerous, with an extra wheel an the superfluous plumbing. It is beyond me how a person gets that good, or even lives to practice enough without skewering themselves.

Glad it was posted.

FEEE-nomenal.

That’s Astrid Ruckaberle

thats pretty sweet. definatly some cool unicycle skills happening there. i wonder if they ever do one wheel tricks on the front wheel. that would be sweet.

don’t mean to threadjack, but check this out:

this is uber cool.
and i thought i could do cool pen-things!

Guys, that form of bike riding has been around for a very long time, since at least the 1930s. I remember back in '83 or '84, BMX action magazine did a feature on this guy named Pat Romano, who did all this same stuff on a bike just like that. It was in his family, his grandfather did the very same stuff for a circus in the 1930s. Incidentally, this Pat Romano guy was the stunt rider in Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure.

Thank you for posting that, it was very cool!

Most excellent skillz.
