Nah… you’ve got a Schlumph now, best keep it! Just get yourself an ungeared 36" wheel – then you can swap between them as the fancy takes you – or you can build a fixed hub into your 36" rim and transplant the hub into a 29" wheel for your next adventure

Don’t ditch it until you’ve tried it. A G29er is a dream machine and can develop skills useful to touring on a 36er.
Nimbus 36h hub, symmetrical spokes - can’t be more than $200 ish I’d have guessed - and you have the hub ready for a future project.
Or just sell the hub if you never do anything with it (
