I'm not the biggest Jim Carrey fan, but I thought it was hilarious, especially if you knew he was doing a parody of the 80's pop group "DeBarge", but you're too young to get that reference. But you don't have to get the reference to laugh.

Also, this was one of the very rare times that SNL was actually funny! In fact, with Carrey's appearance, SNL got its highest ratings in a very long time.

Ahh.. explains why I didn't laugh either. I've never heard of DeBarge.

Seems like an obscure and untimely reference. I sometimes laugh at SNL when they make references to recent news topics. Almost everything else seems to be so random, obnoxious, and repeated, it reminds me my owns jokes when I was in the 5th grade. It gets uncomfortable... I feel embarrassed for them.

Maybe I'll watch this one tonight. It's about time for my semi-annual check to see if they've changed.

I love to laugh and try to every day, even if it's at my own expense! It makes life a little easier for me when I can laugh and not take things so seriously. It does depend on my mood sometimes as to the type of humor I laugh at, but I'm not very picky.

Funny is funny regardless of what type of humor it may be. I like everything from the slapstick of the three stooges and A&C, to the more cerebral humor of George Carlin, to Jerry Seinfeld and the great Richard Pryor.

There are so many great comedians and comics but the bottom line for me is, if I laugh and enjoy their humor, that's all that counts. There's a famous saying that holds true: "Dying is easy, comedy is hard!"

Just watched it.
I laughed more than normal for SNL. Mostly it was Jim Carrey that I thought was funny.
It was worth watching for me. Thanks!
