Well done on the length of the ride, imprressive.
Yeah, that was us. It was Back Lane in Darley Dale - which isn't a completely crazy hill at the moment, cos it's dry - I think I rode it without dabs the second time we went down! But it is jolly fast and loose, which is fun.

Probably. We did pass some people on motorbikes going up one of the hills we were going down. There weren't quite that many of us - just under half his estimate in fact!

Yeah, forget about those LEJOG wusses doing 130 miles a day for a week - 25 miles of xc makes us really hard

Haha, as Joe said, that was a fairly tame hill.

I had a watch through the footage last night. While I think I will have to have a re-think about headcam, I did get some usable clips. When my new computer gets delivered I'll put together a little video.

Have you thought about this sort of thing? Not so easily aimable but should cut down on loads of weight and height.

we have a bullet camera at work (a bit like this except slightly fancier)
http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/dogcampro520.htm

They do a super job, not completely amazing, but very good for the size / weight. Obviously you need some kind of recording device with an AV input jack for it to work though.

All the close up face-camera footage on rollercoasters (about 6 mins in) in this show came off one of our cameras. The point of view rollercoaster footage is off a fancy new sony HD bullet camera, but that is very expensive, and the rollercoaster footage that you see where you can see him and the guy next to him is off yet another mini-cam (an expensive one again).

As has already been said, a fabulous weekend - great riding, great weather and great company. Thanks Joe for arranging the weekend and also thanks Penny for putting up with the hard earned sweaty smell of 9 muni riders...... apart from yours truly of course, since I got that first shower .

I got to meet Leo and Edd, who I've not met before. Enjoyed the company guys and really impressed with your trials riding (scary stuff).

People tend to push themselves further/harder when riding with others, and this certainly was the case over the weekend. Firstly, thanks Joe, Rob and Phil for a really enjoyable second ride of the day on Saturday - some lovely fast singletrack through the woods which was just enough to burn me out. Secondly, thanks Dane for riding the 'seriously hard' section with us. On my own I possibly would have opted to skip it, but in the end thoroughly enjoyed pushing my muni skills to the limit. Looking back I still can't believe how I/we rode it - brilliant stuff. It's a shame we didn't have Edd's camcorder to capture the moment..... next time eh? It was great to see Rob, Spencer and Ralph pushing their muni comfort zones on some bigger drops and steeper terrain. Looks as though we all came away with something from the weekend .

My legs were fine the following day (really), but my shoulder isn't. I took a fall Sunday morning, hitting a rather large rock with my shoulder . I'm still in a lot of pain and can hardly move it. Talking of pain, I hope Leo's knee is OK, as he also hit a large rock with it (several times to make sure).

Phil; Thanks for constantly sprinting ahead on your uni to take endless photos - looking forward to seeing them.

Without encouraging Spencer too much - enjoyed the funnies, but thought the funniest was when I jokingly said we were going to put the neighbours fence on the fire. How was I to know it was the neighbour I was saying this to .

Great weekend Joe.

Yeah, I certainly rode some sections that I haven't before, rode some bits faster than before, and failed to ride some sections that I just walked away from in the past, all of which is good.

Bad news about the shoulder - was that when you had the big crash on that second trail we rode, the one with all the narrow singletrack?

I think it's good we did the two days that way round - that not exactly easy Sunday riding did seem to lead to some quite big falls, I know I was aching after it.

No, it was the first trail in the morning. Embarrassingly it was a fall on fairly easy terrain - I just wasn't concentrating enough . I'm sure the shoulder is fine, but if there's no improvement tomorrow, then I think it'll be a visit and a long wait at the local A&E.

Oh dear! Hope you're ok Steve! Was good to meet you, you are a great rider. I was impressed with your skills on the trails on Sunday morning and would have loved to have seen you riding the Suicide trail!
