What kind of pedals were you riding? And how did you break them? The body broke? the axle?

EDIT: 2500th post!

Do you have any pictures? The twisted PC's are really strong pedals, I rode them a long time for pretty big stuff and even trials. What have you done with them to crack the body and break the axle?

i dont have pics at the moment but can get some next week. i was learning pedal grabs and grinds. they were a 3rd hand free pair so idk how abused they are. i use them for trials because they wont mess up what i pedal grab on

So, anyone else having problems with sqeaking KH Hubs, the new ones with the faux carbon fiber body?

I have had two failures so far, one is an original from 2009(?), the other is a "fixed" hub with the split pins inserted through the hub body and spindle.

I also broke an original KH ti hub...

Frustrated doesn't even come close to explaining how I feel after having to unlace and relace three wheels, esp one wheel twice in less than six months

It'd be more understandable if I was some hard core trasher, but I don't hop and I don't do drops, all of my riding is moderate XC.

try a different hub

ive never had any issues with hubs before except for the 07 KH but im pretty sure that everyone that has owned that hub has the same issue haha

If you want a light hub thats chromo try the mad4one hub. Its all machined in one piece and its friggin light!

Ive been riding with mine since December and have gave it hell since the day i got it and still no issues.

Barely 6 months old, my Torker CX has it's first break.

Just as the weather was getting good. Oh well. Gonna have to wait till tomorrow to run it up to the b*ke shop.

5 year old pics, my first uni. I think it was a norco, a trials uni with a cotterless hub. After doing some trials stuff the hub twisted so that the cranks pointed downward 10 or 20 degrees, so I decided to flip the cranks around so they were pointing up. Eventually the hub twisted back so I flipped the cranks again. This continued until eventually the hub fatigued enough that I hopped down a 3 set and both sides of the axle broke at once. Could still wheel walk it though.

How said aluminum doesn't bent?! The seatpost is cracked at the top and it moves, so I keep it as an emergency seatpost since I dont have any other spare for now.

Just looked through this entire thread and noticed something interesting. No broken Nimbus frames. Broken Koxx-1, Kris Holm, Torker and others but no Nimbus. I'm not saying they're unbreakable, I'm sure that people have broken them but, 14 pages of broken stuff and no Nimbus frames. Just sayin.
