Yes, that very Shell Island (nice to hear that Mikefule has never heard of it). We're hoping to be camping there the week of May 20th. And of course, I'll be bringing a unicycle :-)

Had some good holidays there - that was before my family started to go on holiday without me, leaving me to look after the house and dog. Not that I'm bitter.

Groovy!

Quit complaining, I would have thought that would be a holiday in itself.

It's no fun looking after a big ugly dog when you're 3.

I'm in Hatteras right niow. Super wind and warm weather 'n water for the past while, for terrific kiting. A week of SSW wind!! We have a couple of new folks in our group, so taking a break for lunch while a few showers pass and the gusts settle down a bit. Reading uni forum and excited to get home next week, and attach the 36er KH handle bar that was delivered in my absence.

Boost, absolutely!!! That's what it is all about. Well, waves too. This is my 9th annual kiteboard trip to Hatteras at this time of year, and a fantastic place to long downwinders. Re boosting - I have some amusing vid of my aerial handlepass learning curve attempts -- on a broken foot -- from about 2 years ago. I had to get it, but was really nervous about landing on the foot, but not about to quit either.
Re NC fires - Nothing I've heard about regarding fires, but I haven't watched much TV for a while...and much happier for that, too. |
