Smile learning to freemount
I started learning to freemount today. I am using the kerb just now, but I will soon be just on the road.

I am hoping to have a new unicycle, I was thinking about a Nimbus II 24", but would quite like one with isis cranks. Does anyone know if they are going to using the isis cranks on them soon?

Speaking as a fat git who's been riding his Nimbus II with square tapered cranks for a while now, let me tell you that it's going to take quite a bit of pounding to bend things out of shape.

Well, it has for me anyway.

I think the main advantage you'll find with ISIS hubs is that there will be a bigger variety of cranks to suit it soon. For example, the dual-holed KH cranks are only available for ISIS hubs.

Obviously ISIS is stronger and better than square taper, but in realistic terms, I'm not sure this is going to be a huge advantage to someone just over 4 foot tall.

The word on the street, however, is that all Nimbus unicycles are moving to ISIS, so I guess it depends how desperate you are for a new uni.
