can some one tell me why my turn table doesnt turn?

ok so i plugged it in and thre tuner works and the tape deck works but the turner doesnt turn. so i took of the panel stuff and the motor spins perfectly, but im not sure if it has any friction to turn hte turner (it has a rubber wheel instead of gears). oh and i can turn it with my hands if that helps.
so if anyone can tell me whats wrong and maybe how to fix it that would be awesome.

If its ran by a rubber band, you gotta make sure the band is on the right places, it should be wrapped around a few circular things that are under the table and whatnot, I cant really explain it that well, but if you look at it for a while youll see what i mean, i hope.

dude! i never thought it could be a rubber band. ill go check if the rubber circle has a groove for a rubber band

Yeah, if its an old turntable than chances are that its belt driven. Make sure that the rubber band (the belt) is hooked up to the motor and the platter.

Doesn't sound like it was.

Anyhoooo... what would you want turntables for man? Ceedees are the future!

NOONE listens to vinyl anymore... only WEIRDOES.

I use a Numark T125 turntables, then a begginers mixing board, nothing special, I broke the needles and need to buy some new ones.

I would like to get the "ceedee" ones lol, but they are too expensive for me ATM

GREAT NEWS!! its a MIRACLE! i went out to the garage to see if it had a rubber band yesterday, but i figured id try it one more time before i took it apart again, so i plugged it in, flipped the switch....IT SPUN!!!!!!!!! it was amazing! so now im listening to cars greatest hits. the table is a pioneer centrex.

speaking of cars, does anyone know the song where they are in a car? some thing like "here in my car, i feel safest of all"
