A pattern of referring to oneself in the third person is a sign of megalomania. e.g. "Speak, for Caesar is turned to hear."

After all the exaples Boo Radley posted I havo no other choice than disliking you.
I mean, wouldn´t it be enough with one which uni thread, or two or even 5. But you crossed the line when you made your Gazzillionth thread about which uni to buy.

No, I don´t really dislike you, I only like to type on this internet forum and absolutely make anything productive...

Since you asked for opinions, here is mine. I think you seem like a nice young man with possibly too much free time. That would explain the large number of fairly low value posts that you make. You also tend to be quite careless gramatically in your posts, but I don't want to harp on that. If you are truly concerned about how your posts are viewed, my recommendation would be to post less frequently, but invest more time on each post to ensure it is adding to the discussion on the thread. Then, if there is still time left over after ensuring the content is strong, it never hurts to tidy up your punctuation and capitalization.

Miss Ayerley, if it's okay with my wife might I interest you in dinner and a movie? You may choose the restaurant and the film.

That's a very interesting proposition dear, and I'm quite flattered. Please let me give it some thought, as I've promised myself to reign in my rampant spontaneity, especially around the holidays.

But I must say you do look quite distinguished in your photograph. I've never been a big fan of wide collars, but I'm just wild about polka dots.

Whilst I heartily endorse the sentiment, I feel compelled to observe that in such posts it is particularly important to spells words like "grammatically" correctly. The alternative is to risk a cry of "Tu quoque!"

And yes, I know that spelling is not the same as grammar.

I wouldn't normally point out anyone's spelling errors, but I hope, Miss Ayelery, you will see the funny side and smile a wry smile, given the context.

I remain, ma'am, &c.

Mike

Does everyone else put on a Mary Poppins (though maybe a slightly older version) style voice when they read Ms Ayelery's posts?
