Shutter Island

One of those movies that caught me off guard, it doesn't end like you think it would. I watched it 3 times .

I have not but would like to. Ving Rhames? Elizabeth Shue? Richard Dreyfuss? Christopher Lloyd? And Steve McQueen? Yes, STEVE MCQUEEN?? How bad could it be?

Just saw Piranha 3D (excellent 3D effects) earlier today and it is GRAPHIC! I would not recommend taking the kiddies to see this one, even though there are some humorous parts.

But If you thought the famous "severed leg sinking in the ocean" scene from Jaws was disturbing and/or scary, that's nothing compared to what part of the anatomy is seen in the water in this movie! Pretty good thrill ride of a flick though.

I just saw Inception, and it was amazing. The effects were great and the plot was well thought out.

Just make sure you pay attention! If you leave for a bathroom break, you will completely lose track of the movie...

You had me going for a second there.

Then I realized: not THAT Steve McQueen.

I thought Midnight in Paris was a terrific movie but To Rome with Love is probably better. It's like 3 identical movies happening simultaneously: A Woody Allen movie, a parody of a Woody Allen movie, and a critical analysis of a Woody Allen movie. It was just so much fun to watch. A total ear to ear grin-fest. It's a ton of tired material made fresh and a whole bunch of ideas that you yourself have had cleverly slapped up on the big screen.

I loved it.

I just saw Moonrise Kingdom, a Wes Anderson film, very sweet story, quirky as you'd expect, well worth the price of admission.

Did anyone like Anaconda with Jennifer Lopez? How about that scene where they set the anaconda on fire, and the snake is twenty times bigger than J Lo and still swimming after her!

Any movie with Danny Trejo is worth the price of admission. Or at least watching for a while on TV. I can't believe that he and Wes Studi have only been in one film together. I think Robert Rodriguez should pair them up.

I'm planning on seeing this though it may not be until it's on DVD. I thought Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums were wonderful movies.
