How do you setup?
There was talk in another thread about if there was goofy-footed in unicycling or not so I figured we could do a poll.
I hop: Right foot forward, Right hand David

I'm also right handed if that has anything to do with it.

but then what side do you jump to? I jump to my left side, when i watch U2, i notice that none of them do i the same as me. It also makes going to rubber from crank a bit harder, so i hear.

Left foot forward, right hand
Right handed Prefer to hop to the right, but working on my left now Goal is to get comfy hoping either side with either foot forward.

Right foot forward
Right hand holding seat (but I'm left handed....) Hop to left Weird, I've observed most unicyclists hopping with right foot back, but this poll is proving exactly the opposite. |

Hop
I hop right foot forward ('cause I usually bail left foot forward, but i'm drinking milk!) and usually use my right hand on the saddle... But I've become comptent using the left hand as well... my right hand got a little cramped last week trying to get the left-foot forward hopping down, so I switch... Unless I'm trying to hop onto something, then I use my right hand.
As for direction, I go whichever way I need to go. Right, left, forward, back, it's all good ![]() When i get seat out hopping, I'll let you know how I do that

I'm right handed and my dominant foot is my right foot.
I hop: right hand holding whether seat in or out and right foot forwards and prefer to hop to my left. Though I find crank/pedal grabbing easier on the right! Argh! Getting better on the left hand side now.

I jump best left foot forward left hand holding but I'm almost the same in either hand/either foot forward/jumping either way. I play tennis left handed, write right handed, eat left handed, bowl left handed, skip stones right handed... I don't know what I am. This post is getting complicated...

left foot forward, left hand , and hopping to the left, its all left seat in or seat out....... only crank grabs feel more stable to the right when my right foot is back, but i cant hop that high to the right nor can i go to rubber from a right crnk grab.
