Miyata saddle for street/trials

In Universe 2 I see pretty much all the street or trials riders (if not all) use the Miyata saddle. If they do there must be some clear advantage they have over KH or some other reason? Anyone able to tell me any of these?

They're smaller, don't get in the way as much, easier to unispin, easier to pullout front etc. At least thats what i heard robs.

To be fair to the KH saddle, I don't think they were on the market yet when the vast majority of Universe 2 was filmed!

I dont have really big hands so the myata is good for seat out compare to the chunky kriss holm one. I use the myata because i always have and i cant really comment on the kris holm saddle on rolling hops or seat in hops.

there had better be a universe 3!!! and I think john was right. Im 80% sure that they kris holm saddles werent even on the market for the majority of the filming. another reason could be that they dont have that really deep dish to them, or the nose of the seat isnt so high up. like, in the clip where he goes up and crank grabs the picnic table, and swings the uni out in front, and it comes back under him from behind. you couldnt do that with a KH unless it was REALLY low. trust me, I have tried it.

I switched to a Miyata on my 20" street unicycle when a KH saddle wore
out. So far the Miyata has proven very comfortable for the short
distances I ride, even during sessions a couple of hours long (with
plenty of dismounts. The Miyata seems lighter. I'm just learning
seat out riding, but so fat the miyata seems smoother and chafes less.
To be fair, I'm comparing a new saddle to one that wore out. Still,
the way the miyata plastic dents seems less abrasive. I think the
Myata handle feels stiffer than the KH, though rumor has it that the
new KH saddles have fixed this. Lastly, others have recommended it as
better for uni spins (I'm not there yet).

The biggest disadvantage of the Miyata is that the handle has a very
narrow grip area that pinches my little finger. Ouch.

I found the KH to bevery comfy for sitting on, but as I spend 85% of the time on my trials uni stood up, this didn't really matter. My fingers alsogot sore from holding the handle for long periods as I found it quite thin.

I changed to a Miyata style CF base air seat, which is only a bit taller than my Miyata saddle and I prefer the shape of the base to be much mor comfortable for seat out riding and hopping as the curve isn't as sharp and it's not so deep as the KH. Oh I use a Kinport handle too which is fantastic.

Still have KH (or at least KH style CF) seats on my muni and 29er.
