The first person I tried to teach to unicycle also broke his wrist. He was
holding onto the iron fence around Gramercy Park in Manhattan and when he
went down, missed grabbing the fence post, and slammed one hand onto the
stone ground. He did not ever try again. As an English gentleman and great
drinking buddy, he never did (outwardly) hold it against me, though.
