More Newbie Videos on my page

All,

This post is more for people who are bored than people who need to see more video. I'm still having fun filming anything and everything with my new camcorder. All these shots are still just the quickie video dumps, I havent used the firewire yet to get good image quality.

Anyway, the ones that have Chris (rhysling) in them aren't newbie vids really, but all the ones of me are. Also, all the ones of me are the same, so don't bother looking at lewis-ride-1 through -9. Just look at one or two. If you look at any, look at #5 and #6. I think #6 has the best lighting, and is the only one from a significantly different angle. There are several new ones of Chris too, mainly -upstairs, -downstairs, and the-handoff.

The "the-handoff.mpg" is the cutest, since it has little baby Sophia in the shot.

I moved all the uni videos to one directory so you won't have to be bothered by the non-uni fluff.

For those of you who can uni in your sleep, remember, when you watch the ones with lewis- in the title, you've entered the newbie zone.

Enjoy,

Lewis

Lewis-

You look like a rider, not a newbie. I looked at several of these and you're right...Sophia is the talent.

Harper,

Thanks for the kind words. Still, I have yet to master sharp turns, but I'm going to work on that next.

Oh, I just remembered, per an earlier exchange, Chris wanted me to show you this footage of my mom ...... it has PG-13 audio on it. http://lwb.org/vault/public/mom-bike.mpg

All in fun!

And thanks again for the encouragement.

Lewis

Definately not a newbie. Just try to slow down a bit, it will help with your control.

Hi Lewis,

Thanks for making these videos avaiable. I'm learning how to ride and the
'mounts' videos were helpful. Do you have any others showing basic unicycle
skills?

Angus.

Angus,

I only have the videos that you have seen at http://www.lwb.org/vault/public/univault/ but it is my goal (and Chris' also I think) to try to make a comprehensive set of videos just covering basic skills, for the purpose of helping others see what they look like.

At some point when Chris has the time, I'd like to just shoot a whole bunch of example videos. We need to sit down and have him list all the things he can think of that he can do so that we can categorize them and just go down the list filming each one.

Anyway, right now, the videos that are up there are sort of celebratory, at least on my part. At least the lewis-ride- ones. I'm happy to have made it this far, I cant wait for more to come.

Thanks,

Lewis
