Their accents place them as American or Canadian, but I don't recognize them. Their giraffes are really cool looking. I think the intent of that design is to keep the chain away from pant legs, which is quite understandable for that type of act (and basically any form of long pants). But they look heavy.

And their seats? Allow me to sum up: No thanks.

Date estimate: Based on the style, clothing and cars, I would place this somewhere around 1967-71 or so. One of the first cars I owned was very similar to that middle car. Mine was an Austin America (actually had two; a second one for parts), but that's probably a different variant based on the country.

And I love that little rolling-globe-riding thing! Can't explain why it has a motor though; I guess it can also operate without being pedaled?

From Wiki:
The Rudi Carrell Show was the first television show series by Rudi Carrell. Each issue played in a single decoration that featured a theme, such as the station or marketplace.

The show first ran on Dutch television. In 1965 Carrell followed a call to Radio Bremen and henceforth created German editions of his show, taking up again many themes and ideas of the Dutch edition. This ended in the spring of 1967, followed by the 1967/68 season again Dutch issues. From December 1968 it came back to German episodes until the show ended prematurely with the Christmas edition 1973 and was replaced by Am running band.

In the orange guy I thought I recognized a friend of me - but he's a generation younger.
Then I reminded his dad used to have a duo act with his brother - so... the other could be his uncle...

So I verified with him, and he confirmed: it's the Biasini's.
I have met both gentleman, but many years later, when each of them had a large family doing unicycle group acts. Actually I think there were three families around.
Due to the age difference I only called them "Mr. Biasini", but I'm relative sure their names were Giovanni and Ernesto. So yes, as Italian as possible.

I was surprised to learn that impossible-wheel pair element was already performed back then; I thought it was unique when we saw it at UNICON.
Also the globe-unicycle; I never saw that before.
In their later shows they always showed special cycles.

The woman at the table... I guess must be his mother, Elianne Bagaton. She was from France.
I think I last saw her in the winter of 2014, doing antipode at age 70 - but still looking perfect and still VERY skilled, IMHO the best I ever saw. Wonderful.

Cool find - I'm curious where this video came from.

You are a fountain of knowledge about unicyclists from your part of the world. How cool that someone can post such an old clip, and somebody here can figure out who the riders were!

I'm pretty sure I've seen it before there were Unicons. The idea is too simple. It probably goes back to the 1800s, but I can't think of any specific images I've seen of that particular trick, but I do remember images of at least one performer from that period, showing a BC-type wheel being ridden. They thought of a lot of stuff way back then; some of which we may not yet have rediscovered in these days of the Internet.

This is families that the orange guy was head of:

So you can clearly see who was their teacher.
