I have been not-really-seriously looking at houses for the last few years thinking it might make sense to own something in the area I work instead of renting or staying in the bunk house.

This came up, I don't really have the money at the moment but it is 20km from where I work, within walking distance to the stores and downtown and a nice size for a starter home.

I'd be a few hundred meters over the border thought so I'd probably have to become a Manitoban, or at least a Sasky living in the postage stamp province.

EDIT: Google Earth tells me it is "800m" from the border, I think they are rounding up.

That looks like it is exactly the right size for you.

If I said "one" I'd be right.

I play saxophone, but always wanted to try the trumpet. So I got a hand-me-down from a friend with a large collection of horns. My little tot loves to hear me play, even though I sound like an elephant being crushed beneath a steam-roller. Time will tell if it's really meant to be.
