Search

How do I search this forum?
Whenever I click "Search Unicyclist.com Forums", it takes me to an all white screen with a text box that does not let me enter any words. I must be doing something wrong.
Please help?
Thanks and Happy New York to You!

Nevermind. I see that the "Search" in the forum ribbon works. I don't know the use for the "Search Unicyclist.com Forums" text box, but at least I can search without using Google.
Be well

Can you enter something in the text box and then click the search button? Clicking it without anything entered will bring up no results.

Glibly,
No, I can't enter anything into the box that states "Search Unicyclist.com Forums"
----
When I click once on the text box, it takes me to a white screen with "Unicyclist.com" on the left side and a long box across the entire window. I can't enter anything into this box. It does not let me enter any text into the box.
Thanks.

It can be confusing because the 'search' function on the blue ribbon only appears if you are logged in. That's the way to search. The 'search forum' option uses google and isn't nearly as good - not sure why it isn't working for you, but I can't see any reason why you would use it in preference to the proper search function.

When I use the search button in the blue ribbon at the top I have to click it, then click search straight away, this takes me to advanced search and works every time. If I try and enter any text into the basic search box that pops up, it hides somewhere in the background and won't let me enter any text...
It's been like this (for me) as long as I can 'member and I've just come to love it as one of this sites little quirks

When you say 'the blue ribbon' do you mean the header with the big 'unicyclist.commununity' banner, or do you mean the darker blue menu ribbon with 'user cp' and 'faq' etc etc? It's that latter one I am referring to.

Yeah the darker one, with 'New Posts & 'Quick Links' either side of it.

The only reason why I kept trying to use the white text box "Search Unicyclist.com Forum" (upper right, not on the dark blue ribbon) was because I did not even notice "Search" on the dark blue ribbon. I feel a little silly ; for the past two months I've been using Google on a separate tab to search with unicyclist.com. If fact, I used Google to find out how everyone was searching the forum. That's when I posted my second message right after the first one on this thread.
---
I just tested the dark blue ribbon "Search" function while logged in and as a guest and they both worked fine.
