I was watching a Monkee's video (uh, it came on by suprise) and for a clip, it showed them riding 4 abreast on unicycles with two little trainingwheels behind them (so technically tricycles) but it sure was neat.

The were pretty good (it would be hard not to)

At the end of Spaceballs when everybody is trying to find an escape pod to get off of Mega Maid, There is a clown that is first just carrying a uni, but a little later you can see him in the back riding it.

The movie, 'Seaching for Bobby Fisher' briefly shows a unicyclist
wearing a suite made of aluminum cans during one of the scenes in
Central Park.

National Geographic

I put my uni to its first semi-practical use the other day and rode to a chinese take-out place at lunch. Inside, they had a bunch of magazines, including an August 2001 National Geographic. I flipped through it, and somewhere near the middle is a two-page spread of some guy on a unicycle. Anyone keep back-issues? I'll stop in there again at some point and get details.

That must be "Gene Pool, the unicycle-recycle man." That's all I know about
him. He lives in NYC, and promotes recycling. I have a newspaper clipping of
him.

This has been noticed and discussed in the group before. It's not a
guy but a gal named Erin <something>, and on the picture she plays a
sousaphone while being naked except for body paint all over.

Above statements are made under the assumption that all of the
connections in my memory are still wired OK. If not, it might give a
glimpse of what I keep in my head :-)
