I hope they provide you with good work gear. I laughed at the thought of licking the frozen cage.

We keep our deep freeze at -20, but it's not industrial, is there an advantage to it being colder that that?

Just read some reviews for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Looks interesting, but I'm probably not going to pay to see it. I've pretty much hit my quota for the year.

They give us decent gloves and coats and wooly hats, we're ok.
We're not in there for long periods of time, only over Christmas and maybe Easter

OK

I'm heading down to Prince Albert Tuesday after work for a meeting Wednesday, If there is a late showing I'll go see it.

I was going to do a major house cleaning today but instead settled on a chimney sweep, laundry, and sewing a new coyote fur trim for my parka. The trim took much longer than I anticipated, and turned out bigger and fluffier than I expected. I'm glad I did it though. Next up I will have to modify the zipper to allow a bit more leg movement when bushwalking.

And some day I will actually do that full house cleaning.

So far I've resisted the temptation to lick one of the metal cages in there but it's only a matter of time.

Crokicurl. There are outdoor rinks set up in Winnipeg and Saskatoon, but I'm not sure if it is anywhere else yet. I have not tried it but might next time I head to Saskatoon, I haven't been there in months.

I played carrom a lot as a kid. Karen and I bought a board when our kids were old enough to play and we got years out of that one too. Remember bruising your fingernail?

Same sex marriage was recently made legal in australia and a sign language friend got married within a week of the decision. As a small token of congratulations I made a rainbow "I LOVE YOU" hand.

its one of the few universal signs in sign language
The coloring is somewhat labor intensive but ultimately worth it for the message.

Thanks for the name!

I recently took lessons in knife throwing and tomahawk throwing from the famous Great Throwdini: http://www.knifethrower.com/knifethrower.com/Home.html.

At a local archery range. Don't juggle the tomahawks! Or the knives!

I thought that meant "rock on", but I have never been that great at hand signals. Congratulations to your friend. I'll be signing "I love you" next time I go to a concert, you know spread the positive vibes.

I had to look up carrom, it's not a game that is played here as far as I know, but appears to be the game that crokinole evolved from (which is played quite a bit, especially among the Mennonite population)

Last week I bought myself a new to me ice fishing setup. Bought a trailer on Wendsday, Snowmobile and Coquette on Thursday, helped a friend set up and run a rally on Friday, and by the end of Sunday the sled had an extra 220 miles on it, I had eaten a bit of rhubarb when I fell off a curve and found some unexpected air in the ditch. The snowmobile is a 1992 Polaris Sport GT and took it all like a champ.

I will try to take and post some pics this weekend.
