I know of at least three other Schlumpf hub owners on the East Coast (specifically, the tri-state area). One is a woman named Karen who just got a muni hub. Another muni hub was bought by Krashing Kenny, but he sold it to a member of my club a couple weeks ago, essentially unused. The third is owned by a 10-year-old boy from my club who has it set up with a 24" wheel.

And I know of at least 3 more hubs in Germany. Maybe their owners do not want to make it public.

Like David Stone said, I sold my hub. It's now in Southern CA. I hope the new owner is enjoying it. That hub is: M081, but I'll let the new owner post to the list.
BTW Since I was selling, I asked Florian about the hub warranty. It is transferable. ![]()

Chuck and I got our hubs from the same shipment to the USA at about the same time. Unfortunately, hub M068 just recently had bearing failure (again), and I'll have to send it back to Florian. I've also switched out several hubs with Florian, and I think I've had about 4 different hubs go through me. corbin Last edited by corbin; 2009-06-15 at 05:11 PM. |

Reading this last post, I think I will hang on to buy a Schlumpf/KH hub later on when they are flawless...

My last two hubs had bearings that came from a bad batch; Florian believes that is why they were failing. New hubs have bearings with tighter standards. My muni hubs are newer -- Louise and I have 400 or 500 miles on that hub without a problem, and we are taking them to africa for 550km of riding starting this week. corbin |
