Suncheon BonghwaSan

Hi
not quite the latest ride since it was a month ago. But my first attempt at 'proper' muni riding. I think I rode about 30 minutes in the 2 hour trip.... Need to do a lot of practice riding uphill on non-smooth surfaces, not that I'm very good at riding up hill anyway.
Riding up and down BongHwaSan (355m) in Suncheon, SouthKorea with my firend Choi JongSul.

BTW Aspen Mike and Bunjee Joe, I see neither of you ride with handles yet you do some big hills and big distances, any reasons for not using handles? Seems contrary to what most of the other experienced riders do.

Cheers

James

Just invented new game for those bored lying on the beach.

It's kind of time counted race. First, you have to designate start (A) and final (B) lines on the sand. Distance depend of You. For me 40m is enough.
Once the clock started count time You have to ride slalom from A to B, when reaching B, reverse and continue slalom from B to A creating endlessly figures 8 on sand.
When coming back to A, reverse and You will see circles marked on sand. The second part of the race begin. Time still run. From this point You follow the track by jumping. Time stops when rider reaching line B.
The pattern for jumping can be different, depends of preferences. I got two choices.
I - jump from one circle to another, touching ground only one time within the circle.
II- jump outside circles from the left side of cross to right side of the next cross, then left, right....
Those with better jumping ability could make bigger circles, for those with shorter jumps it's better to make slalom much tight.

Scott Wilton and I rode the MN24 this weekend in Redwing Minnesota. Scott finished 2nd among Solo 12 hour riders, and I got one for being the only Solo 24 hour unicycle.

not really a picture, but also not worth to put in the video section.

First time on the freeride track at Klosters (Davos). It was wet, maybe in dry conditions i can ride more in high gear and I've also to work on the jumps in high gear. It was alot of fun though :-)
