You're pretty much sorted for the apocalypse with a set up like that.

The new fitness test severely crippled the firefighting capabilities of a large number of bases as a huge number of people did not pass (and therefore can not go out to a fire). Everyone at my base passed though so we may be sent to other bases to back-fill where fire danger is high or try to help contain escaped fires that blew up because of the generally low ability to respond.

Also 3/4 members of my crew passed the export standard so there is also a better than normal chance we would go out of provence this year. Not sure how crews in other provinces/territories fared but I would be willing to bet most did better than Sask.

Don't tell anyone but I don't have a dance either.

I am one of those weirdoes with too many posts per page. Works better for slow load times.

Do you know how many women passed the test? How many women on your fire fighting team? Is fighting fires really hot?

When you get a chance, send pics of you doing the "stepping out the fire" dance

Does anyone think a purely academic post on why people find sex disgusting deserves its own thread?

Howdy.

Great news. The absess 'pon my posterior burst forth last night. I now no longer have to shuffle about wincing at every step.

Who knew a gurt emanation of puss could bring so much joy?

Woohoo! That's awesome. Puss is by far my favorite liquid to burst forth from the body.

I had a horrible sebaceous cyst in my left earlobe last year, and it was swollen and pressured to the point of being constantly painful. Not to mention that it looked gross, too.
I went to the doc to get it opened. When they tried to put numbing stuff in the tissue, it accidentally was inserted into the cyst, making it that much more painful. I told them to just cut it open and be done with it.
I have never been so happy to have the left side of my face covered in puss. I feel for you, man.

Is the new test unrealistically tough or are firefighters just generally not the world's greatest athletes?
