Can't tell from the picture: Is it consistantly worn or does it have some bald spots and some good spots?

It's actually quite even. As you can see, it was on my trials bike & not my uni so it doesn't have the typical two spot uni pattern.
Max, I'll bring it to the ride Thursday at Cherokee so you can inspect it personally. Special deal just for you.
