Im literally 100% sure the M12's don't fit
They just arent big enough for the thread in the hub, the postman should be delivering the bolts today, i'll let people know what happens
quick question, if the cranks wont go all the way on by hand, what am i meant to use to push them on further?

The bolt - just do it up until the crank hits the crankstop/spacer (assuming the Impact hub has them).

Thanks Rob!

Hi Ali,

The hub does use M13 bolts and these are special and only fitted to the Impact products from what we understand. I have just talked to the European distribution centre and they tell me that there are no spare bolts available at the moment. When they become available we can get you a set in as we are the UK Impact distributor.

Sorry we can not be of more help.

Regards

Roger
I am going to end up hurting someone/something.
I'll contact UDC sweden when peter rings up in a couple of days time (he's been away at a german convention I think) Hopefully that'll get it sorted, otherwise. Looks like im in for a long wait.

It's a bit weird that they went for a custom size. M13 is quite awkward. M12 is strong enough, and light enough. M15 is overkill but perfectly fine for the smooth rider.

M13- why? weaker than M12, heavier than M15. Why not just save weight another more effective way?

I think Unicycle.se should have sent you the bolts the begin with, but meh, no point in crying over spilt milk!

Small word o' advice!
- Grease up your new cranks and hub splines in preferably copper grease and same for the bolts, and crank down on the allen key haard. That way it stays tight forever, almost, and doesn't seize up after a lot of useage. Saves creaking and wobbling too.

I can't believe they are making custom bolts. That has to add to the price, and what a pain. This is the whole reason there is an ISIS standard, so that everything works between manufacturers. I guess this is another hub with a little ISIS in it.

Well i'm glad it's only the impact hubs that have these weird bolts and not the exceed ones. Ti M12 bolts are the way to go anyways!

Bolt size isn't part of the ISIS standard, just the crank/axle interface (I think).

[edit] Actually no, never mind
