Why can't I hop high!?

Why can I only hop 10 inches max on my unicycle? I just recieved my first trials unicycle yeterday (nimbus 20 inch trials) and I can not hop high at all! It's really making me frusturated and im always scared to do "that" jump. I really need help with this. What should I do? Thanks

Practice and have fun. Both are essential.

couple other ideas. It's pretty typical to stop making progress before you have a breakthrough.

If you are stuck and getting frustrated practice something else for a couple of days and come back to hopping for height. Do some things that you are good at.

And last thought you might be trying too hard. Like Unigurd said have fun. Jump for the fun of jumping no matter the height and the height will come on its own.
