Yah in draper corner canyonish. I was with my little brother on bikes. Im still looking at options but how much would you charge for the nice seat without handlebar.( is that an option)
Hey NotSoYoungOne, thought i'd add you as a friend. I too am one of those crazies who has taken up unicycling in their late 40s. Its been 18mths now for me and I have inspired all 3 of my teenage kids, my wife and many of my extended family and inlaws to learn. The uni bug bit me so bad that I now have a KH 36", QUAX 26", KH 20" and I have had to folk out for the same 26" and a 20" for my wife and 3 kids. A garage full of unicyce family fun! our latest addition is a QUAX Giraffe, scary but fun to rude! We all ride together regularly. If you are ever in South East Queensland Australia look us up. Cheers
Thanks for the links. This forum software is not as intuitive as some that I've used. Apparently you're a pretty big deal on the Unicyclist Community, based on the popularity of the Learning Journal. There's a certain cool quirkiness to the folks who use this site, and I like it. It seems like unicycling attracts a distinctive sort of person.
I think I know what is going on with the messaging function. You have to go to "the other person's" profile and leave a message under the "Visitor Messages" tab. (Your two more recent messages are there in my Profile, but your first message got stuck here.)
Hi Brian, I think the mail function on the forum is being a bit wacky - I now see your 1st message, but I can no longer see your 2nd and 3rd - so I no longer have your cell phone number. Let me give you mine. It's 801-386-1586.
At any rate, I'll be out of town for first part of the week between Christmas & New Year, but would very much like to go for a ride later in the week (from 12/29 to 2/2). Of course it will depend a bit on the weather, but if we can plan it a day or two in advance, I can invite a few other local riders. So, let's stay in touch.
Hey Bert, I would love to join you. I have been looking for a riding/learning partner. I did one day over there and loved it. But I am still a newbie so I have a long way to go before I can ride smoothly for a long time. That day I did about 5 miles total, which is my longest day so far, but I had to take a couple breaks. I think my longest continuous ride is about 2 miles. If the weather permits the week between Christmas and New Year might be a good time...
Here is my cell #, give me a call to arrange. Thanks for the invite!
Brian
We should get together for a ride one of these days -- when it warms up a bit. I've had a lot of fun riding around Liberty Park in the Winter. Any interest in joining me after the holidays?
