Hi, I am looking for a club or group who can do some Unicycle Demonstrations in the Chattanooga, TN area on Memorial Day weekend. Do you know of anyone in that area that might be interested? If so, please have them email TrialsUSGP@gmail.com. Thank you.

Jeff, the theme is muni, but there are some mellow trails down around the lake. I terms of 36er riding, there are paved trails in the park and the road through the park is pretty mellow. A couple of the folks attending are avid 36er muni riders, but that would be some pretty advanced riding, so you might want to take your smaller uni and ride along with us.

Best day? Probably Saturday morning or Sunday morning, maybe Saturday afternoon if we aren't too whooped for a second ride that day. We will probably ride Friday night, but it'd be shortish and limited to whomever is there early.

Hey Peter, no worries, if you can make it, then just let me know. My son is your age, I'll try to get him to come along, but no promises, he doesn't ride much these days.


Tell your parents that this is not a "party festival", though there may be some folks who drink a couple beers, there will also be families with young children. I don't drink or party, I just ride unis

I've been looking at the Douthat MUni weekend thread and I am quite interested in going; however, due to my 17 years of age, it's totally up too my parents. Is there any requirement as too when you need to know certain things for those who are attending. Just let me know.

Hey Ben, I'ts been a while. We exchanged messages a few times. You made a knoby tire recommendation for my 24 incher that I purchased and rode once in 9 inches of snow last winter.
Just saw your thread about the ride at Douthat Park. I would like to attend, but I am not sure I can free up the time. If I can join you for half a day, which half day do you think would be best?
Also, I see the event has a MUNI theme. I haven't riden any MUNI. I have a 36 inch Impulse (that I have put 1300 miles on in the last year and a half) and I have a 24 inch "el-cheapo" with a knoby tire. Do you think there will be much opportunity for 36" riding? I'd be willing to try some MUNI with my 24 inch, but probably not up to hard core MUNI.
I think it would be a neat opportunity to get to ride a bunch of different unicycles.

hey ben, me and my family are in pigeon forge in tennesse and rented a cabin in the mountains. and i was wondering if you could give me some good riding spots. i would greatly appreciate it if you did.

Ben... taking your invite to ride eastern TN/western NC offline. The muni I posted is the first muni I ever owned. I still haven't taken it off the road, except for maybe a couple of fields and a washed out patch of sand/grass between two parking lots. I intend to test out some trails local to the Charlotte area... we have tons of trails that vary in skill level. At least according to the local forums.

I see you are very active in these forums and are probably expert level. Someone at my level would probably try your patience rather than your endurance. Having learned at 53 to ride, and am now pushing 55, I consider myself a slow but careful learner.

Perhaps I can take a rain check this fall or so...

I wish I could get away for your May event in TN but the month of May is slammed with family and work commitments. I'm sure that kind of event is geared towards people at all skill levels and would be a big growth opportunity.

Unfortunately no, I've got a family reunion that was planned by my wife long before we knew that I'd try to take up unicycling again, so I'd be in all sorts of trouble if I tried to skip out.

I'll definitely have it on the calendar for next year though.

For sure, I'll bring all my toys and hopefully my 15yo son.
